Prophetic Word

"Don't get ahead of yourself, putting the 'cart before the horse.' If you do not lay a strong foundation before you begin to build, your growth will not be able to be sustained. Don't rush . . . timing belongs to Me."

Devotional

It's exciting when God gives us a vision for something! We can become so eager to see it come to pass that we want to jump right in and start building. But there's a difference between moving in faith and moving prematurely.

Jesus said, "For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?" (Luke 14:28, ESV) Why? Because starting something is one thing, but having what is necessary to finish it is another!

The Word also tells us that through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established (Proverbs 24:3). In other words, it's not just about building something. It's about building it wisely so that it will last!

When God gives us a vision, there's often preparation involved before we begin to see it unfold. There are things to establish, wisdom to gain, and steps to take that will position us for success. Taking the time to build a strong foundation prepares us for the growth and opportunities that lie ahead.

Be mindful of what God is doing in you right now, even as you're looking forward to where He's taking you. Every step of preparation has a purpose, and what He's establishing today will help you sustain what He's called you to build.

Trust the process. Trust God's timing. And be careful not to put the cart before the horse by getting ahead of Him!

Prayer

Father, thank You for the plans and purposes You have for my life. Give me wisdom to recognize the importance of preparation and patience to follow Your leading. Help me establish a strong foundation for everything You've called me to do. I trust Your process, Your direction, and Your perfect timing. In Jesus' name, Amen.
