MAKING PLANS

The Spirit of the Lord says, "When things don't go as 'planned' keep your focus! Don't give up or give in so quickly."

Sometimes when we make plans they just don't go the way we had hoped. Holidays, family, vacations, jobs, relationships, etc. often do not pan out like we had anticipated. But we can always trust God and His Word.

Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you (to give you soundness, wholeness, and peace) and not to harm you (to give you misery, distress, or injury), to give you hope and a future."

You can never go wrong when following God's plans for your life. It's not always an easy thing to find out but if you stay in His Word and in prayer He will begin to reveal His plans for you. He said that His plans bring peace . . . not distress. His plans bring wholeness . . . not injury. His plans give you hope! Hope means expectation. If we are expecting a baby, there's anticipation and joy involved. This is the kind of hope/expectation the Lord's plans bring to us. His plan is for us to have a future! To have an "expected outcome."

Increase your positive expectations for your future! Let God make the plans. He will bring them to pass! (Prov. 16:9)
